June 14 - 17, 2007
Huazhong University
of Science & Technology Wuhan, People’s Republic of China
|
|
The purpose of the joint conference
is to bring together university professors, business leaders, academic and professional
leaders, consultants, scientists and engineers, theoreticians and
practitioners, from all over the globe to present recent advances in their
scientific activities, to exchange new ideas, to promote interdisciplinary
/ international collaborations, and to shape the current trends in systems,
cybernetics and related research.
Since studies in systems and cybernetics have been
increasingly related to each other and to almost every scientific
discipline and human activity, their transdisciplinarity characterizes and
communicates themselves, generating strong relations between them and with
other disciplines.
|
|
They interpenetrate each other, integrating an organic
whole of human knowledge that is permeating and influencing all corners of
human activities. This phenomenon, as suggested by the more than
half-century old systems movement, has motivated the IIGSS, IIGSS-CB, and
Huazhong University of Science and Technology to organize this 2007 event
as a multifunctional conference, containing several organizational
structures, where participants can focus on either an idea crossing
various traditional disciplines or a discipline, while maintaining the
possibility of attending discussions and gatherings of other areas or
disciplines. This systemic approach stimulates cross-fertilization among
different interest areas and different scientific disciplines. This end is
exactly one of the basic principles of the systems movement and a
fundamental goal in cybernetics.
|
|
|
